Do you think this is....alright to do? like, in fairness?

ok, so my best guy friend...who i like...a bit, not as much before is telling me about his new gf... hes telling me how cool, beautiful, etc she is. last night he told me that they were making out =.=" Do you think it is fair that i listen to this? i only want to be a good friend.....but at the same time...there's a twinge of irritation that i feel...of jealousy....and i just say back thats nice etc. But it sometimes gets boring after a while....and yea...i still get a bit jealous =.=" should i just tolerate this...like i had been doing for months? Cause....i told him that i was sick of hearing this....and he just said that he can't talk to me then....what should i do?
