Research paper topic on press/politics?

I have an 8-12 page research paper due in December for a cl on press/presidential politics. I m struggling to think of a topic I could go into. I have to have a thesis of course, that is what I go in thinking, and then research and draw conclusions. It cant be something broad. One person is studying weapons of m destruction and how they were covered by the media. what is something interesting and yet narrow enough that i could really thoroughly yze it? People are also comparing how hilary clinton/sarah palin covered by press. I just need a topic and then I can go in depth in research. id love some suggestions. thanks. and i don't wanna do something so wishy washy; I did a book report on a book about liberal media bias and so if there's anything specific within that genre you have I'd love to hear ideas. i was thinking how media covered W bush s tax cuts, covered katrina, etc. thanks
