Should I edit it or leave it?

Ok, so me and a really close friend have these AMAZINGLY beautiful conversations over MSN and through emails and facebook and what not, so over the past few months in particular, I have kept all the conversations in a word doent, And I'm planning on making a scrapbook type thing for his birthday of past conversations and quotes and other things. My question is, since we obviously sometimes make typing errors or spell things wrong or grammatical errors and such, would it make more sense to leave the conversations EXACTLY as it is, or to fix up the spelling errors and capital letters and things? Like, I don't want to ruin the personality of the conversations, but I also hate spelling errors (good old pet peeves). So advice on leaving it or changing it. Thanks heaps :)
